OH. MY. GOD. This last book has me falling in love with Lucian. I am not the one to fall for fictional characters but out of the bad-ass Morgan brothers and Lucian (their best friend) Lucian ALL THE WAY. Maybe it is because I kind of relate to how my husband is to Lucian. Very closed off and hard to explain his feelings, the way how Sloane was the only one to make him soft and open up is relatable to our relationship. In addition, in this book, Sloane copes with loss which i also relate as well.
Synopsis:
Just like the Morgan brothers, growing up in a rough family, Lucian grew up with a rough family and had his neighbors to rely on as his “parents” figure and the Morgan brothers for emotional support. What everyone did not know, he also had Sloane as another emotional support. Sloane is his next door neighbor and having her close to him and her parents were the best thing in his life. Until a tragic moment in Lucian’s life had turned, him and Sloane’s relation turned.
Review:
I thought I loved Nash and Lina’s story the best, but after reading Lucian and Sloane’s by far their story is magical. They had history. Lucian and Sloane grew up together and she knew his deepest secrets, not even the Morgan brothers knew. If Lucian’s rough family matters wasn’t so rough, I can foresee high school sweethearts planted on their foreheads. But unfortunately, that did not happen. It took them two decades to grow up and move on but deep down inside, their love for each other is deeper than they were younger.
Overall Recommendation: 5/5
