Hello everyone!
It has been a while that I have blogged. Like many others, the last few months of the year are always hectic. It did not stop there. Since the new year, the year has started strong with continuous festivities and travel.
I still managed to make time to read as much as I can. So without boring you with the personal life updates, let’s just jive right in to my January reads!!
- The Two of Us, by Taylor Torres
- Full Measures, Rebecca Yarros (Book #1 of Flight & Glory Series)
- Eyes Turned Skyward (#2 of Flight & Glory)
- Beyond What IS Given (#3 of Flight & Glory)
- Hallowed Ground (#4 of Flight & Glory)
- The Reality of Everything (#5 Flight & Glory)
The month of January was definitely a busy month of reading for me. This has also allowed me to realize that I am a true romance reader. I love reading thriller & Mystery; and I am slowly getting into fantasy, however, my heart is definitely in the romance section.
Rebecca Yarros, The Flight & Glory series is hands down my favorite romance series that I have read. Prior to that, I was obsessed with Lucy Score and Ana Huang’s stories, which i still do, do not get me wrong. The Flight & Glory series has a way for you to connect with the characters, falling in love who they have become and appreciating their love stories. Rebecca’s writing will allow you to connect your reading into reality.
I truly recommend reading the Flight & Glory series if you love reading romance novels. Please read the trigger warnings in the beginning. There are two books that deals with grief and loss and I for one has gone through grief and loss. If you are not mentally strong to read about loss, I do recommend not to get into the series just yet.
Going into the book review The Two of Us by Taylor Torres had my heart aching. This book has trigger warnings as well. Just like the F&G series by Rebecca Yarros, this book deals heavily with grief and loss. This is a contemporary romance novel that has no spicy sections and is truly a heart warming story that has you rethinking of yourself and life lol!!
This novel is about second chance romance, small town lovers, father and daughter relationship and best friends since childhood. This allows you to learn how to love yourself and moving on from the past to ensure happiness and love for others. As mentioned in the beginning, Taylor Torres also has you connected to the characters in real life.
If you want to read something that is out of your norm or feel like in a reading slump, then I highly recommend reading all six books.
Happy reading everyone!
